Paagal Stupid Mann - episode 2

This post is a sequel for one of my earlier posts, Paagal Stupid Mann - episode 1..

“So here’s the plan”, kumar says before sipping his coffee.
“We take a bus to DharmaShala this evening. From Dharmashala we’ll go to Manali on Firday.”

“That sounds great”, I replied.

Kumar was in a very cheerful and calm mood.
He was very happy with his recent trip to North East, Where he roamed around Sikkim,Assam,Meghalaya and Manipur for 3 months.

Kumar was a free bird. He quit his well paying, comfortable corporate job 5 years ago.
He is a guide now. He has been to many difficult treks.
In fact he has completed one of the most difficult treks. ‘The snowman trail’ in Bhutan.
This trek so hard, that the percentage of trekkers who complete it is less than the percentage of people who succesfully climb Mt.Everest.

“I earn decent money and no need to follow any fool’s orders.” that was his answer,
when someone asks why he quit his comfy job.

We sat watching some dumb pop music videos on the television, as we waited for Rahul.

Rahul is an old freind of mine. Rahul is very handsome.
With good physique and toned muscles, his dream was to become a movie hero.
Of course his dreams never came true, and he settled for small time modelling jobs.

Rahul is a good man at heart but very dumb.
He is very short tempered too. One day he freaked out and rammed his wife’s beautiful face into the wall, leading to thier divorce, 6 months in jail and a heavy fine.

His life is in ruins now and I invited him with us on the tour, which he gladly accepted.
“He’s a bit short tempered, but very good at heart”, I told Kumar, When he asked me what kind of a guy Rahul is.

Rahul came after half hour. We discussed our plans, he was fine with it.
So we were all ready to board the bus to Dhrmashala that evening.

Suddenly I heard a familiar voice, saying hello to Kumar.
It was Priya.

“How did u know, we were here?!” I said
“I know where you guys would be, when you are hung over from last night!!” she says.

She and Kumar were discussing about his trip.
Mean while, Rahul was staring at Priya, with his mouth open.
She was such a beauty, cant expect better from Rahul!

After she finished talking to Kumar, she noticed Rahul.

“Who’s your handsome friend?” she asks me.
I introduced them. Though priya was talking, Rahul was at loss of words.
Finally he managed to say “You are very beautiful”, trying not to blush too much.

“why dont you take me out for dinner tonight?”, she says.
“Sure!!”, blurted out Rahul, unable to hide his delight.

Later Priya explained Vivek’s plans for the trip.
They would fly to Shimla on Tuesday, and later travel to Manali for the weekend.
Before Priya left, she said goodbye to us and with a smile reminded Rahul about their date.

Rahul asked us to proceed to Dharmashala as planned and he will join us there later.
After that, Rahul bored us with his talk. He was so happy that we introduced her to Priya, how he never thought he will meet a beautiful woman again bla blah…

Finally, he got up to leave.
“I know you are very happy. But just be careful. She’s married already.Don’t get your hopes high.” I said,
with a hint of jealousy in my tone.

After Rahul left, I noticed Kumar looking at me with a smirk on his face.

“What’s the matter?”

“Nothing important. Are you comfortable with this trip. I’m worried about you!”

“Worried about me!? because of Rahul? No way, I know him from a long time. I hope you are comfortable with him.”

“I’m not talking about Rahul. I’m talking about you and Priya. I can tell that you are still in love with her.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll be fine. I’m more worried about how Rahul and Vivek will cope!”

“Hmmm.. and by the way, when you first described Rahul, you mentioned ‘Short tempered’, but you never mentioned ‘dumb’!”
